Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 July 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data seohard GmbH ("seohard," "we," "us") collects when you visit seohard.com or contact us, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to visitors and prospective clients of our website; it does not cover data we process on behalf of clients under a separate service agreement.

1. Who is responsible for your data (the controller)

seohard GmbH, Wisbyer Straße 24 A, 10439 Berlin, Germany

Email: support@seohard.com · Phone: +49 171 5523724

For full company registration details, see our Impressum.

2. What data we collect, and why

a) Enquiry / contact form data. When you submit our contact form, we collect: your name, email address, company (optional), the service you're enquiring about, your website URL (optional), a description of your goal or problem, and your monthly budget band. We use this data to understand your enquiry and reply to it. We do not forward this data to any third-party CRM, email-marketing tool, or call centre. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. Retention: up to 6 months if no engagement follows.

b) Server log data. Our server automatically records technical data for every request: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, date and time, and the pages requested. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Retention: automatically deleted after 30 days.

c) Cookies and analytics (Google Analytics 4). We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to run the site, and — only once you've given consent — Google Analytics 4. The Google Analytics 4 script does not load, and no analytics cookies are set, until you actively opt in via the cookie banner or the "Cookie preferences" control in the footer. See our full Cookie Policy for detail. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Recipient: Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). International transfers rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses. Retention: 14 months.

3. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with processors who support running this website, with Google Ireland Limited (solely for Google Analytics 4, and solely once you've consented), and with public authorities where we are legally required to disclose data. We do not use any other third-party marketing, advertising, or tracking tools on this site.

4. International data transfers

Where a processor (currently: Google, for GA4) processes personal data outside the EU/EEA, we rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified under it, and otherwise on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, together with any additional technical and organizational safeguards available.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21), and to withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3)) — for cookies, via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. As our registered office is in Berlin, the competent authority is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Friedrichstraße 219, 10969 Berlin (https://www.datenschutz-berlin.de).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@seohard.com. We will respond within one month as required by Art. 12(3) GDPR.

6. How long we keep data

Enquiry/contact form submissions (no engagement follows): up to 6 months from submission.

Client and contract records (once an engagement begins): for the duration of the engagement plus statutory commercial/tax retention periods under German law (typically up to 10 years under §§ 147 AO / 257 HGB).

Server logs: 30 days. Google Analytics 4 event data: 14 months. Cookie-consent choice: until you change it, or up to 12 months.

7. Data security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures — encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and minimal data collection — to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
